                        In eukaryotic membranes, the major structural lipid components are glycerophospholipids; that is, phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), phosphatidylserine (PS), phosphatidylinositol (PI), and phosphatidic acid (PA).
Inclusion of PE, which has a conical molecular geometry in a PC bilayer, raises cur- vature stress in the membrane.

Naturally occurring phospholipids such as phos- phatidyl ethanolamine, phosphatidyl ethylamine, N-methyl PE, phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidic acid, cardiolipin, etc.
